The Moose Report - Aug 2015
Hello to all our guests and friends of Mad Mooses Guesthouse.
Well who saw this season coming? I did of course! We don't listen to long range weather forecasters or other doomsayers predicting the worst seasons ever, as i know from experience, we always get the snow. Sometimes it's a bit slow in coming or just splooches down in buckets, but it always comes, and this season has been no different.
The season started with a big opening weekend and good snow in the resorts. Since the end of June, we have been very lucky with the most regular weekly snowfalls, i can remember. Every week, we have received good top ups and excellent conditions across all the resorts of Thredbo, Perisher and even Selwyn. Skiers and snowboarders have been frothing on the conditions, finding freshies to slash every few days. It doesn't get better than that!!!

Around the Guesthouse
With good snow seasons, comes great bookings, and we've had some fun times with guests this season. Our regulars have enjoyed the quality snow conditions and the usual Mad Mooses hospitality, that some have been coming back for over 15 years to experience. We always get great satisfaction from seeing our guests have a great time on the mountains and a comfortable time in our accommodation. The big breakfast are always a winner with guests, with some commenting that they don't need to eat all day after a Mooses Big Breaky.
This year we renovated the upstairs apartment, and added a new kitchen and bathroom. This self contained loft apartment can comfortably sleep a family or up to four people. Prices are from $44 per night, per person for 5 nights, and includes your choice of breakfast each day, and access to the well equipped kitchen to cook your meals at night. Downstairs, the lounge room with pool table and guest bar is always a hit with guests, and hanging out by the fireplace on cold nights is always a winner
If you haven't already booked your next snowy escape, there is still plenty of time left, with September looking great for some excellent skiing and snowboarding in the resorts, or even back country touring - the perfect time of year to hike out the back and see Australian mountains at their most unique and best. We still have a few places left for midweek bookings, so if you are looking for an excellent holiday experience in the snowies, give Stewy a call or email us for details.

Happy Holidays Moosestars, and looking forward to sharing more great times and snow with you all soon.
